About Freshwater Partners Freshwater Partners Services
 Our Philosophy
Why is it important to work with a firm that has a clear philosophy?
Business is challenging because there are so many different aspects of the business that require attention. The key is to know how to focus your energy on areas that will make you succeed. The Freshwater Partners philosophy addresses the question of where to invest your attention to maximize your returns. Our advice to our customers is:
Leadership Basics go first here. No company can be world-class without world-class leadership. World-class leadership means that the right decisions are made at every level of an organization, and that risks are uncovered and managed at all levels. World-class leadership means that a company can be nimble and easily respond to changes in the marketplace. Leaders make things happen. Leaders make a company different.

At Freshwater Partners we seek to improve the leadership skills of all of our clients' personnel.

Innovation Successfully competing in the marketplace means having a culture of constant innovation - thinking out of the box and creating unique company capabilities. Innovation is not a mystical process that is reserved for highly creative people. Innovation needs to be driven by everyone at all levels of an organization. At Freshwater Partners we have a simple proven approach for driving innovation in all of our projects.
Collaboration One person cannot make a company great. Companies succeed because they find and integrate the best ideas and perspectives throughout the organization, creating a unified vision that is greater than the sum of the parts. Companies that are great at integrating the knowledge and experience of their vendors and customers succeed in lowering costs and winning market share.
Real-time Data Access Company personnel can only act decisively if they current and accurate information. Customer service people can only truly serve a customer if they know about prior interactions with that customer. A credit authorization system can best detect fraud if it has access to transactions that have been performed in the past few minutes. A company line manager can only know if the quarter is on track if sales projections, inventories, bookings, deliveries are available on an ongoing basis, not limited to monthly reports. This seems obvious at some level, but making it a reality within your company requires a coomitment to creating the infrastructure required to facilitate that access.
